About Us

Charles McClellan

Charles McClellan, M.A., Climatological, Environmental, and Financial Consultant.  More than 50 years of professional experience in climatology, severe storms photography, aerospace engineering, and environmental sciences, including industrial safety, business development, finance, and management. 

EDUCATION.  Mr. McClellan earned a B.A. and an M.A. in Geography, with emphasis in Climatology, from California State University, Northridge, studying under the late Dr. Arnold Court and other professors.

EXPERIENCE.  After a career in aerospace engineering and environmental science with Douglas Aircraft, and then as a Senior Engineering specialist with Hughes Aircraft Company, Mr. McClellan became a Purchasing, Compliance, & Configuration Management Specialist and resident environmental scientist and regulation specialist with the Silvestri Studio, Inc. in Los Angeles, CA.  After that, he was a Configuration Planner (independent consultant) for Patina-V in City of Industry, CA. 

He was the Controller of Continental Weather & Earth Sciences, Inc. for eight years, where he was a stockholder, a member of the Board of Directors, and Chief Operations Officer.  Mr. McClellan was responsible for the finances and financial operations of the company and its day-to-day business operations. 

CURRENT AFFILIATIONS.  He is now Climatological, Engineering, and Environmental Consultant to Environmental Science & Energy, Inc., among others.  He is a Financial Consultant to  Associated Science Experts, LLC.  Mr. McClellan is a participant in the severe storms photography program of  American Weather & Hydrology, LLC. 

PRESENT AND FUTURE PLANS.  As a consultant to Environmental Science & Energy, Inc., Mr. McClellan is working with Dr. Charles B. Pyke, Timothy E. Wright, Philip K. Barone, Dr. William J. Trott, Zane A. Stephens, Lawrence D. Bregman, Paul Braden, and others in the:

Development of new-technology tidal and ocean wave energy for communities in coastal regions worldwide.

Development of wind, solar, hydroelectric, and other renewable energy for individual homes, farms, schools, and businesses worldwide.

Development of the latest-technology scientific instrumentation.

Determination of construction defects, foundation failures, and seismic and landslide hazards

Provision of climatic, meteorological, hydrologic, seismic, landslide, coastal, and ocean data, plus precise, pinpoint data interpolation to specific locations, as well as detailed expert data analysis and high-resolution mapping of data..

Protection and restoration of beaches, ports, harbors, marinas, seawalls, piers, and docks, plus lagoons, marshes, wetlands, and coral reefs.

Structural integrity inspections and seismic safety inspections for bridges, tunnels, railroads, dams, public schools, universities, stadiums, theaters, public buildings, prisons, power plants, cell phone towers, oil rigs, pipelines, and numerous other structures and infrastructuresIncluded are annual railroad bridge inspections required by Federal Railroad Administration Regulation #49 CFR, Bridge Safety Standards.

Mr. McClellan is an official Weather Spotter for the National Weather Service and is a member of the American Meteorological Society.
